Gary L. Vinson is a partner at Greve, Clifford, Wengel & Paras, LLP, a law firm long known for its representation of design professionals. Since being admitted to the California Bar Association in 1974, he has practiced in Sacramento, focusing on construction law and on the representation of architects, engineers, and land surveyors.
He routinely advises and counsels design professionals in the preparation of proper contracts and amendments and about the resolution of disputes which arise during the design and construction phases. When quick resolution is not possible, he aggressively represents design professionals in defending against lawsuits which allege errors, omissions, and breach of contract.
As a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Gary has litigated, arbitrated or mediated several hundred disputes for architects, surveyors, and engineers of all disciplines, and is pleased he has had the opportunity to represent a number of Northern California ’s most reputable architectural and engineering firms. Mr. Vinson completed his legal education at the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and his undergraduate studies in Business Administration at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. He is member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the California State Bar Association, the Northern California Association of Defense Counsel, and is an affiliate member of the Central Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Vinson regularly lectures and writes on items of importance to the practice of design professionals.
