Direct Line: (916) 669-3909 Bradley Kragel was born in Onawa, Iowa in 1960. He was raised on a small farm near Ute, Iowa. While in high school he worked on his father’s farm and was employed by Norman Kiepe Construction (Charter Oak, Iowa) and Anderson Construction (Emmettsburg, Iowa). In 1982, Brad enlisted in the United States Army. He took basic training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He spent the next two years in the 3rd U. S. Infantry (the “Old Guard”) at Fort Myer , Virginia . In the spring of 1984 he participated in the internment of the formerly Unknown Soldier of Vietnam. In December 1985, Brad obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from the University of Iowa. After graduation he moved to Denver , Colorado , where he worked for a landscaping company before returning to Iowa to attend law school. In 1989, Brad obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa School of Law. While in law school he an articles editor for The Journal of Corporation Law. In September, 1989, Brad went to work as an associate at Greve, Clifford, Diepenbrock & Paras in Sacramento, California. In 1999, he became a partner in the firm of Greve, Clifford, Wengel & Paras. Brad is licensed to practice before all of the California State courts and the U. S. Districts Courts for Eastern, Northern, Central and Southern Districts in California. Brad has litigated hundreds of case over the past 16 years, primarily defending individuals and businesses in civil disputes. He had experience in the following areas: Business and commercial litigation: defense and prosecution of actions involving breach of contract; unfair business practices; unfair trade practices; interference with contract; corporate and partnership disputes. Construction litigation: defense and prosecution of claims against contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers, homeowners and real estate agents for claims of construction defects, breach of warranty, fraud, and breach of contract. Insurance coverage: analyses of insurance policies and applicable statutes relating to commercial general liability insurance, homeowners coverage, and professional liability coverage; providing coverage opinions and representation in coverage disputes, breach of contract claims and bad faith litigation. Personal injury & property damage: defense and prosecution of claims for personal injury and property damage arising out of accidents involving motor vehicles, construction machinery, tractor-trailers and defective construction; as well as claims involving premises liability, wrongful death, and other torts. Professional liability: defense of real estate brokers, insurance agents & brokers, attorneys, and pharmacists against claims for breach of contract, professional negligence and statutory violations. Brad lives in Sacramento with his wife (Sheri) and three children. He coaches baseball for his son’s little league team. He and his family enjoy reading, running, swimming, bicycling, soccer and baseball. They participate in 5K, 10K and ˝ marathon races throughout northern California. As a rookie genealogist, history buff and aspiring author, Brad collects (and occasionally finds time to read) books on American history (in particular the American Revolution), pre-twentieth century German history, and pre-nineteenth century English history. Fiction authors worth reading include John Sanford, Robert Crais, W.E.B. Griffn, Robert Ludlum, Robert B. Parker and Dan Brown. |
